France
In 1948, the Entremont brothers launched their business in Haute-Savoie. The Emmental is quickly imposed as a pillar of cheeses. For its excellent quality, in just two years, the first cheese wheels leave the alpine pastures to reach the Annecy wineries.
The Emmental Entremont has the French-style savoir-faire thanks to its traditional maturation. Their cheese wheels ripen for 7 weeks on wooden shelves under the expert eye of the master cheese makers. Cared for and turned around regularly, Emmental Entremont wheels feature a domed bark and holes the size of cherries.
